With SOLAIRE, her new studio album, Yal Naim unveils a deeply personal work at the crossroads of the intimate and the universal.Entirely self-produced and recorded in her own studio, the album reflects her pursuit of independence and authenticity.
I wanted complete freedom to explore and take my time, she explains. SOLAIRE bridges the many musical worlds that have shaped her, blending classical and jazz harmonies with contemporary sounds. The music is sensitive, modern, and open, where orchestral arrangements intertwine with organic electronic textures.
Naim first rose to international fame in 2008 with her global hit New Soul, featured in Apples MacBook Air campaign and streamed millions of times worldwide. She has since received numerous honors, including Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters (2021) and several Victoire de la Musique Awards, notably Best Female Artist of the Year (2011, 2016) and Best World Music Album(2009).
Ultimately, SOLAIRE is an album of light a celebration of freedom, connection, and the human spirit. It moves between introspection and openness, fragility and strength, shadow and radiance.A luminous journey inviting us to reconnect with what within us longs to shine.
