The much missed Karl Wallinger left the Waterboys in the mid-80s to form World Party and it took one song to convince fans that this was no side project. That song, ‘Ship of Fools‘, along with ‘Is It Like Today?‘, ‘Way Down Now‘, ‘Put The Message in the Box‘ and ‘She’s The One‘ feature on this first-ever worldwide release of World Party greatest hits, Best In Show.

Best in Show was originally only released on CD in America and Australia back in 2007. That was a 13-track release which is now expanded to 17 tracks for this new reissue!

The four bonus tracks are ‘Everybodys Falling In Love‘ (first time on vinyl and the single from 2012’s Arkeology), ‘Best Place Ive Ever Been‘ (the second single from the last studio album, 2002’s Dumbing Up), ‘Always‘ from Egyptology and Sunshine from 1993’s Bang!

This is the vinyl debut for Best in Show which is a red and yellow vinyl 2LP set.

Audio has been remastered by Tim Young of Metropolis and the artwork has been enhanced by Richard Evans (of Hipgnosis fame).

Best in Show is released on 14 March 2025 via Seaview Records.
