A project forged over ten years in Crazy Ps Nottingham studio, blending dancefloor DNA with intimate musicianship.
White Elephant Chris Hot Toddy Todd and Jim Ron Basejam Baron of Crazy P, joined by Ben BJ Smith of Smith & Mudd announce their long-awaited debut album, a project born from friendship, instinct and a remarkable ten-year creative journey.
The band began unintentionally, during a weekend with no plan beyond experimenting in Crazy Ps Nottingham studio. What emerged was an unexpected synergy that grew, slowly and naturally, into a body of work shaped by trust, freedom and time. Across the album, White Elephant blend Crazy Ps signature dancefloor DNA with rich musicianship, warm analogue textures and a reflective emotional depth.
From the shimmering disco heat of All Night to the bright, 80s-infused rush of Warriors and the intimate, acoustic tenderness of Still Stills and Sail With Me, the record captures a rare balance of playfulness and poignancy. Though some tracks were written over a decade ago, and others far more recently, the album coheres through chemistry rather than genre, the sound of three musicians weaving instinctively around each other.
It was never about deadlines or expectations, says Chris. Just the joy of making something together. Ben adds, Its music that grew at its own pace. And thats why it feels honest.
White Elephants debut is not a side project, its the sound of deep creative connection, of experience mellowing into focus, of three friends rediscovering the joy of making music simply because it feels good.
