The Harder They Come was a Jamaican crime film directed by Perry Henzell and starring Jimmy Cliff and has been described as Possibly the most influential of Jamaican films and one of the most important films from the Caribbean.

The Reggae soundtrack featuring Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals, The Slickers, Scotty, The Melodians and Desmond Dekker is one of the most successful soundtracks of all time and is widely credited as bringing Reggae to the world.
