Infuential Irish prog-folk duo Tir na nOg (comprising songwriters LeoO’Kelly and Sonny Condell) produced three classic alt-folk-fringed albumsat the start of the 1970s, then split.

‘Transmissions‘, recorded at the height of their powers, comprises recordingsmade for radio broadcasts. Side one features six songs recorded in the studioand includes their unique reading of Bob Dylan’s ‘Maggie’s Farm‘. Side two wasrecorded in concert and shows why Tir na nOg was such an in- demand liveattraction. ‘Transmissions‘ is confrmation that Tir na nOg was responsible formaking stylish, powerful, and category- defying electro- acoustic music. LP is alimited pressing of 250 copies.
