He was raised in a jazz family and was heavily influenced by legends like Django Reinhardt

Fame really took off for Byrd following his 1962 collaboration with Stan Getz. This exciting collection of “Jazz ‘n’ Samba” was recorded back in 1965, with Byrd very much in his musical prime

The Hindsight label is the first to have access to these original and rare master tapes
