A dive into the Fania archives unearthed Caf, a Latin funk and soul gem on its 50th anniversary. Legendary conguero Ray Barretto produced the one Caf self-titled album, released on Vaya Records. The opener S Dame Tu Amor ripples with funk grooves – sounding like something Barretto would have released himself – while Identify Yourself is an absolute jam.
