13 Track 12 from the Aphex Twin released in limited copies. Hot on the heels of Syro came the natty titled Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt 2 in all its blacked out minimal glory. Kicking off with the spy movie funk of diskhat ALL preparedlmixed the clue is definitely in the releases title. Mr James has got hold of some seriously good drums and all manner of physical instruments to create thirteen tracks of sublime Aphexness that reach parts hes never really been to before in such detail. Drum rolls, bells, pianos and all manner of percussion get worked out and retuned to wonderful effect. It still sounds like something only he could do but yet again hes raises the bar real high.
