Yuja Wangs next album, set for release on 3 May, is a further historical milestone along the soaring trajectory of the pianists extraordinary career. It features the recording of the eclectic program from her April 2022 recital at the Konzerthaus Vienna. The selection spans compositions from early Classicism to improvisatory jazz piano, displaying the pianists fiery virtuosity in compositions by Ligeti, her mature musicality in masterpieces by Beethoven and Scriabin, and her musical imagination in beautiful miniatures by Albniz. Wang comments: I believe that every program should have its own life and reflect my current feelings.
