Legendary Dublin instrumental band TRM (formerly The Redneck Manifesto) makes a welcome return with their 8th album, Grushy, on Ten Spot Records, due for release in September 2025, along with an Irish Tour to launch the album. The lead single Off The Hook was released July 18th.

After the departure of three members, TRM took time to consider their foundation and future, but the desire to make new music was just too strong for founding members Matthew Bolger, Niall Byrne and Richard Egan to step awayafter a few productive writing sessions in Dublin (Ireland) and Malmo (Sweden), Grushy was born. Comprising seven songs, Grushy finds the band taking their sound to intriguing new places. The signature interweaving guitars and melodic bass lines are there but there are now also structural experiments, textural detours and rhythmic tricks that pave the way for new musical territory.

These songs are a focussed collection of lightness and darkness, connected together by an attention to detail that establishes TRMs biggest ideaserve the song! Whether its the heavy-lidded yet vigorous beats of Off The Hook, the window-down, arm-out groove of Hidden Hands, the gentle psychedelia of medieval bliss that is Tonglen, the contemplative riffage of Aggro, or the dreamy intertwining of guitar lines in Pass It OnTRMs Grushy rewards listeners with new surprises at every turn.

The album was recorded and mixed by Richard Egan at Rarn Studio to Revox PR99 on RTM LPR 35 1/4″ tape, with additional recording from James Eager at The Clinic (Dublin) and Emil Isacsson at Studio Mollan (Malmo). Digitally mastered by Noel Summerville at 3345 Mastering (London), and vinyl cut by the renowned Barry Bazza Grint at Air Studios (London). The artwork for the album was handmade and photographed by M&E Studio (Sweden), with vinyl production management by Dek Hynes at Ten Spot Records.
