Archive has never really been a band that do cover versions, preferring to forge their own musical direction, absorbed in their own creations

When they started their Patreon fan subscription service they decided to explore the world of the cover version, searching out “classic’ songs that the band felt had potential for reinterpretation

The resulting ‘Show Me Heaven EP’ released on limited edition 10″ red-splatter vinyl represents three of their most successful experiments

Archive founding member Darius Keeler says of the release, “We felt that the reinterpretations worked so well we wanted to bring them to a wider audience, and we’ve always wanted to do something for Record Store Day, so putting the two wishes together seemed like the perfect solution!”
