12″- Transparent Blue Vinyl
Tuk Smith is the kind of rock n roll lifer that feels increasingly rare – a raw-voiced troubadour whos lived through the highs, lows, and hard resets of the modern music industry, and still comes out swinging.
From his roots in rural Georgia and his time fronting glam-punk cult favorites Biters, to forging ahead as a solo artist and now running his own label (Gypsy Rose Records) out of Nashville, Tuk embodies the grit, heart, and defiance that once defined rock at its most vital.
He’s no stranger to acclaim or collapse. Industry shake-ups, near-breakthroughs, label fallouts, and burnout have all carved lines into the story. But for Tuk, its never been about chasing trends. Its about truth, resilience, and crafting music that means something. A lot of shit nowadays is so disposable and so plastic, he says. I just don’t connect with that.
His songs, grounded in hope without falling into clich, are born from hours at the piano, not from posturing. As he puts it: Rock n roll is essentially the illusion of not giving a fuck but it takes real work to make it feel that way. And Tuk Smith puts in the work.
Unapologetically authentic, fiercely melodic, and emotionally resonant, Tuk Smith is out to prove that rock is far from deadit just needs people who still believe in it.
